Inactivating Multiple Prescriptions at Once
To save time, your pharmacy can inactivate multiple prescriptions for a patient at once.
This feature is not available in British Columbia or provinces integrated with a Drug Information System (DIS) due to Pharmacare and DIS messaging, respectively.
For a quick demo, watch the video below.
To inactivate multiple prescriptions:
-
Open the Patient Folder.
-
Select the Profile tab.
-
Highlight the prescriptions to be inactivated.
-
Select the Active column header at the top of the Profile. The Inactivate Rx window opens.
-

Discontinue - patient will no longer take the medication, effective immediately. Repeats are removed.
-
Revoke - patient will take remaining medication until finished and then stop. Repeats are removed.
-
Inactivate - patient is not currently taking medication but may resume at a later date. Repeats are retained.
-
Suspend - patient will stop medication for a specific period and then resume on a chosen date. Repeats are retained.
